Do what’s right, not what’s easy.
More often than not, this is a hard pill to swallow.
Doing the right thing is a lot more difficult than taking the easy road.
Anyone can take the easy road. Hitting the snooze button on a cold winter morning is the easy road. Skipping the training session because your friends are out of town is the easy road. Picking up fast food on the way home is the easy road.
However, nowhere along the easy road will you find your inner greatness.
There’s an old adage that smooth seas never made a skillful sailor.
This statement is exactly true.
Even if you’re scared of the water in your bathtub, a smooth life never made anything out of anyone.. Unless you’re a trump or kardashian, you need to work for it.
Anyone can float with a Mojito in hand at the Mia Rivera, but once you get slammed by a rogue 30ft wave, once your grit is tested, the real you will be evident. The work you have or in most cases, haven’t put in will become self-evident.
Life will easily pass by those who have lived easily. If you want something bad enough, do what is right, not what is easy.
