Just the tip:
Life is hard. So before you go casting stones at others, get your own ducks in a row first.
He that is without sin among you, cast the first stone. – John 8
As humans tend to make assumptions about people. We assume we know what is going on in their life, or why they are acting a certain way. So we give them labels that match these assumptions. Over time, we start to view them as labels, taking away their personality and fitting them into our preconceived ideas.
Stop doing this. This is toxic behavior that doesn’t serve you well.
Understand that we don’t know what is going on in the anyone else’s life. We might know a little bit, but we damn sure don’t know enough to judge them.
There might be 2 or 3 people in this world that we actually know what is happening in their life. Even then, we can not fully understand their situations.
Forget the labels and look at people for who they really are.
Look at a man the way he is and he only becomes worse, but look at him as if he… – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Don’t make assumptions and judgments about what is taking place in the lives of others.
The more you judge others, the more you open yourself up for judgment. Every single person out there is unique, with unique sets of talents, abilities, and intelligence. Strive to learn something from everyone you met rather than labeling them.
