Make The Time

I think I have either heard or used every time management excuse in the book.

Among them, is I don’t have time.

When it comes to excuses, this is the king.

Which is exactly why its gotta go. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

You will never have time, you must create it. You must find it. You must collect it.

People act like time is something they can make up later, when the truth is once its gone, it is gone for good. We will never be able to make back the time we’ve lost, or the time we’ve wasted.

I would rather waste a million dollars than a million minutes.

If something important to you, find the time to do it. Make the time to do it.

We are all given the same 24 hours each day. It’s up to you how you use them. For me, that means waking up a few hours before I really want to get out of bed. That means scheduling my time in advance so I can squeeze everything I can out of these precious 24 hours.

Don’t fall for the trap of creating busyness. Instead of being busy all the time, start scheduling the stuff you really need to get done. Don’t fill your calendar with bullshit meaningless tasks.

In practice:

Put this excuse to bed for good. Next time try simply saying, that’s not a priority (this is especially important to tell yourself).  If you find you can tell yourself this without a problem, good. It must not be a priority.
